Fellowship: Code for America

This fellowship program pairs technologists with local governments to develop tools that can help cities become more productive and deliver better services to their communities. The fellowship is a full time paid year of service, and teams of three are embedded in local governments to help the cities develop those tools. Fellows have done many things, such as improving the permitting processes for small business owners, making it easy for parents to enroll their children in schools, or connecting families with food assistance. Their fellows are curious, creative, entrepreneurial, and have a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and respectful communication. The application for the 2016 fellowship is open currently, and you can go to https://www.codeforamerica.org/geeks/fellowship-apply/ to learn more and apply.
